Motor Design Engineer Motor Design Engineer We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Motor Design Engineer to join a leading Electronic Motor Manufacturer located in the Akron, Ohio area.

We are searching for a Motor Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of fractional horsepower PMDC and Prestolite motors.

Other responsibilities:

* Selection of the appropriate components.
* Confirmation that the project requirements and specifications are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
* Work with customers, suppliers, engineering leadership, program management, supply chain and other product team members to develop and qualify motors.
* Provide product, process and application engineering analysis and direct support to customers and manufacturing plants for division products.

* Must be able to travel, including possible international travel 2 or 3 times per year.

Requirements:

* Engineering Degree
* 5+ years of experience in the design and engineering of motors.
* Project management and technical expertise to handle major projects.
* Experience performing development, design and analysis of new products.
* Experience in design validation testing on new products.
* Experience initiating/applying new technologies and software for design.
