Job Description:

The Government Solutions Business Unit (GSBU) of SAIC is seeking a highly qualified Project Manager (PM) to lead a team of highly skilled IT professionals on a large federal Information Technology (IT) contract in Albuquerque, NM.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Candidate will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals providing mission engineering and technical services in areas of IT research, software development & integration, high performance computing, desktop services; cyber security; and central hosting computing. The candidate will work closely with the government Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), government technical leadership, and SAIC operational leadership. The PM duties will include managing all aspects of a major program segment as part of the contract management team; meeting technical, schedule and financial requirements; recruiting, and supervising personnel; risk management; and serving as a direct liaison between the SAIC technical team and the customer.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution. Eight (8) years of management experience overseeing IT programs for a large federal agency.

Areas of technical expertise to include: IT research, software development & integration, high performance computing, desktop services; cyber security; and/or central hosting computing.

Proven experience managing a $ 5 M a year program, with up to 10 people. Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate. Strong facilitation expertise with experience and comfort with managing project groups through complex concepts/issues. Experience working with stakeholders at various levels and functional areas. Strong writing and presentation development skills, with an ability to produce high-quality deliverables created through collaboration. Excellent analytical skills to uncover root causes to issues.

Experience providing executive level briefings to share results or accomplishments. Experience developing metrics to measure success of process improvement initiatives. Candidate must be local to Albuquerque, NM area, or relocate to Albuquerque area.

Desired Qualifications: ITIL certification. Department of Energy National Laboratory experience highly desirable.

Security clearance requirement: An active Department of Energy (DoE) Q Clearance or Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret is required.
