A software development company that services the airline industry is in need of an Application Support Engineer for its Product Development team in Atlanta, GA.
Key Purpose:
Provide Tier 1- Tier 3 Application support
The key goal of this role is to resolve P1, P2, P3 and P4 customer production issues in SLA and taking the follow up actions to ensure issues do not re-occur.
This role is also responsible for managing the operation of our product within Pre-Production and Production Environments.
Skills Required
- Problem Analysis
- Linux/Unix administration skills
- Experience with managing Java based applications
- Performance troubleshooting
- Understanding of JVM
- Understanding of Oracle
- Good English, spoken and written, is essential.
Key Result Areas:
Main Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Customer Production P1,P2,P3 and P4 issues
- Responsible for problem analysis and resolution of Customer Production P1, P2, P3 and P4 issues within SLA times.
- Responsible for all customer and internal communications on Customer Production P1, P2, P3 and P4 issues
- Owns RCA of Customer Production P1 and P2 issues and assignment of follow up actions
- Managing the Support call queue ensuring issues are reviewed and assigned within SLA, also responsible for ensuring follow up on all open support calls ensuring they are review by assignee and progressed.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Product setup and control of Pre-Production and Production environments within hosted facility. This includes
Initial application setups
Application upgrades (large and small)
Pre go-live and post go-live
- Sets up environment monitors and application monitors
- Defines product enhancements required to aid operational success
- Owns Environment documentation
- Training and working with non-hosted customers to ensure they successfully manage all the above.
