Chemical Engineer

Yoh currently has an exciting contact opportunity with a growing global pharmaceutical company based in Andover, MA. This is a contract opportunity for Scientist or Chemical Engineer with a strong background in Protein Biochemistry!

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform and document laboratory experiments in the areas of purification and characterization.
- Performing purification and characterization techniques on materials isolated from multiple sources.
- Liquid Chromatography using AKTA/Unicorn and Agilent HPLC platforms.
- SDS PAGE, Western blot, IEF, protein assays, spectrophotometer and UF/DF techniques.
- Solid and timely documentation using an electronic laboratory notebook system.
- Participation and presentation at group and project meetings.

Job Qualifications:

- B. S. or M.S. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Engineering.
- Five (5) years of lab experience, preferably in an industry setting.
- Experience with AKTA (Unicorn) and Agilent software packages.
- Experience in protein purification at multiple scales.
- Experience with a broad set of protein characterization techniques.
- Experience following SOPs and Batch Record review.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of or experience with a regulatory/compliance environment.
