Wellness & Prevention, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer. This position is located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Wellness & Prevention (W&P) is the global leader in online delivery of behavior change interventions. Our behavioral support programs create unique health improvement plans for each individual. This plan and the subsequent continued care plans teach the participant how to achieve his or her individual goals.

W&P programs cover a wide range of health issues. Examples include: Health and Wellness - weight management, smoking cessation, stress management, Disease Management - Diabetes, Pain Management, Medication Adherence, and Behavioral Health - Insomnia, Depression.

We are searching for a Sr. software engineer. The successful candidate will be self-starting, have customer-focused vision, and a strong sense of urgency. Typical day-to-day duties will include: Working with a team to developer feature functionality on a SaaS applications. Analyzing and correcting reported defects.

Qualifications

A minimum of a BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Progressive IT experience with focus on web application development and database integration using industry standard tools (PHP, Drupal, JSP, DHTML, Java, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, Drools, MySQL, Oracle, JMS, JDBC, etc.) is required. Strong ability to manage both time and work load independently is required.

Experience with the SpringMVC framework is preferred. Experience working within an Agile development framework is preferred. Demonstrated understanding of Web Servers (primarily Apache Tomcat and JBoss) is preferred. Ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team including writers, graphic designers, project managers, software engineers, database engineers and software quality assurance engineers is preferred. Thorough knowledge of browser compatibility and cross-platform development issues are preferred. Experience developing using various Unit Testing frameworks (JUnit, HTTPUnit) is preferred. Demonstrated ability to design and develop to Object Oriented Design principles is preferred. Very strong verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills are preferred. Experience with test driven development methodology is preferred. Experience with security standards, ethical hacking, various industry technologies are preferred. Well versed in Web 2.0 technologies, especially jQuery or other JavaScript libraries is preferred. Familiarity with Mobile Web Design and mobile libraries (PhoneGap, iUI, jQuery Mobile) are preferred. Familiarity with the Eclipse Development Platform is preferred.
