Arbor is looking for a web developer with experience in (or desire to learn) networks and network security. If you want to work in a fast paced environment, building best in class network infrastructure protection and visibility products, then we are interested in talking to you!

Responsibilities

Qualified candidates will work in an Arbor engineering team to design, develop and test the user experience for scalable network security products. Candidates will work closely with architects to design and develop web applications to effectively communicate data visualization and interaction. They will also gauge usability of existing features to make constructive changes. This spans everything from paper prototypes and mockups to implementing code, CSS and Javascript.

Qualifications

Required Skillset

- 3-5 years experience creating and developing user interfaces in a web environment using a Scripting language such as PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
- Fluent understanding of and experience in user-centered design
- Experience with wireframing and design tools, such as OmniGraffle, Visio, etc.
- Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, standards-based, AJAX development
- Ability to work independently and in small teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Experience

- Experience with python and web frameworks in general
- Experience in a unix-based LAMP environment
- Understanding of, or background using, high-speed networking devices such as Firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, or deep packet inspection (DPI) systems
- Understanding of application layer network protocols

Education

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent work experience)
