Description:
The Systems Engineering and Integration Mission Solutions (SEIMS) Division of SAIC's Maritime Systems Operation (MSO) is currently seeking a Software Engineer to work on a team developing Embedded and server based systems for advanced at-sea prototype systems. MSO develops and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions of national importance for a broad range of customers across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and commercial clients.
The engineer will be responsible for developing software that meets allocated requirements and shepherding their software through tests and demonstrations. The engineer will develop regression tests for their software, and will work with testers to ensure coverage of application requirements during string, system, and integration testing.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years experience. Shall have experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, databases, software based encryption (explicitly Suite B approved software packages) and problem diagnosis/resolution. Shall have experience developing Embedded or server software in C/C++ for Linux operating systems, C++ Boost, Java SWIG, as well as GUI development using Java (Eclipse RCP) . Some travel will be required. Ability to work non-standard hours as required is necessary.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desirable. Experience developing reliable, production applications is a plus. Experience with database applications, communications protocols, distributed and/or autonomous systems is desirable.
