Deployment Engineer

SolTech is seeking a Deployment Engineer who will work with a business development team to provide technical consultation for the technical delivery of a speech-based analytics product to customers. The Deployment Engineer is the primary person responsible for the installation and configuration of products, and will be required to educate customers on the technical architecture of the product so they can make the necessary investments in hardware, software and support. This role interacts with various client technical staff and will, at times, need to travel to client sites to perform installs. Deployment Engineers also provide escalation support for operational systems as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure solutions as designed by a Solution Architect
• Upgrade existing systems, preserving any customizations that may be in place
• Diagnose and resolve complex tier-3 technical support issues
• Perform operational support tasks, such as data loads, data cleansing and performance tuning.

Required Skills

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• 5+ years of experience deploying and supporting enterprises software applications
• Advanced SQL Server (DBA activities, experience with SQL queries, functions and stored procedures)
• Advanced Windows Server (IIS, Windows security, optimization, troubleshooting)
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, routing, QoS)
• Security and encryption fundamentals (SSL/TLS, SSH, PGP)
• Ability to read, understand and create program source code (C# or Java required, Scripting optional)
• Knowledge of Web technologies (ASP.NET, XML, XSLT)
