Technical Project Lead & Junior Project Manager

Terrific opportunity for a Developer with some Leadership experience who is looking for a career track into a Technical Project Manager role.

You will start out leading smaller projects that include enhancements, upgrades, bug fixes, etc. Over time you will take on more complex projects. You will be in the trenches and be very hands on with business analysis and some data modelling.

You will work with technical teams and the business to define requirements, project scoping, develop analysis models, and develop project plans. Also you will be responsible for project plan execution, scope control, task assignment, coordinate teams work, and work with developers. You will be a liaison between the IT Team and the business and manage change request. Other responsibilities include training, mentoring, and documentation.

All of the management is Matrix management (no direct reports and hire/fire responsibilities). You have to be comfortable performing a variety of duties and responsibilities and rolling up your sleeves to pitch in on projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Some Project Leadership or Project Management experience
• Strong desire to move into a Technical Project Management role
• 5+ years as a Developer with C#.NET and SQL Server
• Strong business analysis skills
• Ability to do Project Scoping experience
• Experience with gathering and documenting requirements
• Ability developing project plans
• Consultative personality and excellent communication skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Self managed and motivated
