System Validation Engineer - System - On-Chip

Yoh has a contract position for a System Validation Engineer - System-On-Chip to join our client in Austin, TX.

Job Responsibilities:
- The System Validation Engineer will be responsible for researching, architecting, designing, writing, testing, debugging, and supporting validation software including Embedded firmware, drivers, libraries, and applications to enable testing of hardware features in SOCs.
- The System Validation Engineer will evaluate design alternatives, workload characterization, and influencing product design and system software.
- The System Validation Engineer will execute duties using customized validation hardware and emulation technology to ensure future product based systems deliver industry leading features and quality.
- The System Validation Engineer will also communicate efforts and results with the interdisciplinary team.

Job Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience with design and/or validation experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of PostSi Validation.
- Minimum two (2) years experience with TAP and debug hooks.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in Silicon Debug.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in: SoC or CPU architecture, C/C++ Software programming, board and system operation, validation and/or development.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Four plus (4+) year experience in at least one of the following: SoC Peripherals, Security Features, Perl/Python Scripting knowledge, Low Power Design or Testing, CPU Core Validation or Design for Debug Validation.
