Validation Technician - Linux

Yoh has a contract position for a Validation Technician - Linux to join our client in Austin, TX.

Job Responsibilities:
- Validation Technician will be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities in validation, testing and detailed data collection.
- Validation Technician will also perform initial root cause of the issues encountered during testing.
- Validation Technician will often be required to rework boards, solder down fine pitch components.
- Also, responsible for system assembly, bring up, and debug.
- Perform routine data collection and system maintenance.

Job Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience as a Validation Tech or Test Engineer
- Four (4+) plus years of experience with Board assembly/rework, oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, voltage meters and soldering.
- Perform routine data collection and system maintenance.
- USB and Firmware knowledge.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions is a must.
- Ability to learn quickly, perform tasks with moderate supervision, and have strong debug skills
- Strong Linux background. Ability to Build Linux Kernel
- Knowledge of Linux tool chain, debug tools, build, test automation and Linux Operating system
