The Online Services Division (OSD) legal group within Microsoft's product and services legal department is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated paralegal to join our team at Microsoft's global headquarters near Seattle, Washington.

Primary Duties:

Organize and help our legal team to successfully execute on a dynamic set of fast-paced global initiatives
Draft and negotiate legal agreements, which may include development, licensing, and marketing agreements
Provide legal advice to clients and help design creative solutions to complex business, technical, and legal issues
Advise clients on a broad range of topics, which may include intellectual property and licensing, general commercial and consumer law, contract interpretation, and antitrust and regulatory compliance
Perform legal research and work closely with team attorneys and outside counsel, as needed
Engage with various levels of Microsoft managers and employees, as well as outside partners, customers, and vendors
Partner with attorneys and paralegals across the department and around the world to provide comprehensive legal solutions to internal clients
Manage time sensitive projects

We are looking for an experienced paralegal with:

A minimum of a two year college degree -- four year degree, paralegal certificate and/or relevant work experience strongly preferred
At least 5+ years of demonstrated transactional legal work experience strongly preferred
Strong legal drafting, program management and team organizational skills are a plus
Outstanding communication, organization and writing skills
Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to legal issues
The ability to balance legal risks against business interests
Strong results orientation with a dedicated client focus
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator with other paralegals and attorneys as part of the broader OSD legal team
Desire to work with diverse internal groups, teams, divisions, and cultures
Passion for technology
Prior experience working for a software technology company is a plus
