The Bing Information Platform team is building a platform to harness the world's knowledge and enhance people's lives. The Conversational Understanding (CU) team within the Bing Information Platform team is creating natural user interface technologies (NUI) that will change how people interact with their devices.

We have a Senior SDE position available for someone to join and help us with our mission to enable this capability everywhere.

You will work on a new platform that enables developers to build compelling scenarios that feature conversational, spoken dialogue. As part of a larger client and services team, you will work closely with other partner teams and ensure successful execution. The Bing Information Platform team is a combined engineering org; with a streamlined development cycle, you will own the process of designing, implementing and testing your deliverables, and be accountable for end-to-end success. You will drive/help the design and implementation of client-side APIs that will ship on multiple platforms. In addition, you will help drive and shape the larger developer platform story that encompasses the tools and SDKs that will be made available for third-parties.

Must Haves:
Strong C++ and C# skills with 6+ years of industry experience
Strong analysis and problem solving, algorithm development, code implementation and debugging skills
Proven track record of ramp-up in new technical domains
Passion for product quality and excellence in software engineering
Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong cross group collaboration skills
BS in computer science or equivalent

The following are desirable/plusses:
Experience in designing and releasing developer APIs
Experience with Windows Runtime, Windows Store development
Experience with shipping WinRT OS components
Experience developing for Windows Phone
Experience shipping SDKs, developer tools
Experience building services
Experience with speech recognition, text to speech
