Req# 138013BR Position Title Manager, Product Marketing - Wholesale/M2M Position Summary

Manages the development of product marketing plans and promotional activities that will influence the direction of the field sales force. Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Monitors the development of business plans, managing lifecycles and product positioning in the marketplace. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Interacts with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, and operational policies. May participate in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance, and salary decisions.

Plans and implements Sprint s Wholesale Wireless & M2M marketing plans for the business unit. Manage a team to execute marketing plans to achieve volume, revenue, profit, customer acquisitions, retention and satisfaction in priority segments including Wholesale Wireless (MVNO, M2M -Transportation, UBI Insurance, Retail, and manage indirect channel marketing plans. Team closely with field sales and supporting organizations to review plans and solicit on-going feedback. Analyze market segment/vertical opportunities, identify & coordinate marketing plans with key integrators, partners, and influencers. Develop marketing plans & prepare forecasts, pricing strategies, and manage marketing budgets. Coordinate with other Business Units to define and execute Sprint s overarching messaging and external communications plans. Manages the activities of individual contributors with accountability for goals, objectives, financial metrics. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.

Assess existing and potential Wholesale Wireless & M2M opportunities; conduct product life cycle planning, coordination with product development resources, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities. Activities may include sales support; planning, developing, and implementing multiple channel/partner programs; and identification of requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s).

This team manager will lead a team of segment marketers that include Go To Market, Base and Product marketing functionality. Key tasks include the following;

- Establishing overall comprehensive marketing strategy, direction for wholesale wireless & M2M

- Leading a team to drive towards overall strategy in a cohesive manner

- Managing a multi-million dollar budget and ensure commensurate profitability and financial targets are achieved

- Prioritize new product business requirements, value propositions and pipeline based on segment opportunities

- Communicating Marketing Plans, Promotions and Opportunities

- Be accountable for segment forecast and revenues

- Prioritizing work across segment staff

- C-Level Customer Engagement

- Build Sprint s position across key partner channels and customer decision makers.

- Identify & coordinate marketing plans with key partners, applications/solutions providers, influencers within the assigned vertical/segments.

- Work closely with field sales to coordinate plans and solicit on-going feedback.

This position can be located in any Sprint office across the Nation.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
- Five years experience with product marketing
- Two years supervisory or management experience
- Two years project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of M2M & Wholesale industry, applications, solutions, trends

- Experience in launching business and consumer marketing initiatives

- Financial Acumen, market projections, business cases

- Experience managing complex, large-scale projects, plan resources, and assign work accordingly

- Experience in a supervisory role

- Strong Knowledge of multiple marketing areas, Matrix management

- Experience managing multiple projects/co-marketing partners, resource planning
