Developer Platform Evangelism's East Region Sales Team is looking for a technical sales professional that is passionate about ALM (Applications Lifecycle Management) and ready to help our customers realize their full applications development potential. With the launch of Visual Studio 2012 and the release of Windows 8, there has never been a better time to join DPE. If you are a proven technical sales professional with expertise in the ALM and custom software development this could be the perfect position for you. The specific requirements for the position include:
Applications Lifecycle Management
Understanding of the Microsoft ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) Solution, including VS 2010 & 2012 and TFS 2010 & 2012
Broad understanding of the ALM marketplace, including Microsoft's competitors and partners
Comprehensive knowledge of Modern Application Lifecycle topics, including requirements management, testing, code construction, build and deployment, and source code management
Broad knowledge of modern application development processes, including Agile and SCRUM, and well as more traditional application processes such as CMMI and Waterfall
Modern Applications
Comprehensive Understanding of Microsoft's Modern Application strategy, including detailed knowledge of Windows Azure, Windows 8, Windows Phone, and .NET
Broad understanding of application design patterns, especially service oriented cloud based architecture
Broad understanding of non-Microsoft development technologies, including Java/Java Platform, LAMP, iOS, Android, etc.
Technical Sales
Proven success as a frontline technical sellers, including Solutions Sales, Technical Pre-Sales, or an Account Executive
Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills
Comprehensive understanding of solution sales concepts, including diagnosing pain, creating a buying vision, securing sponsorship, developing evaluation plans, etc.
This position is located in the greater Boston area and focused on our enterprise customers.
