Software Analyst Programmer

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for a Software Analyst Programmer to join our client, located in Cambridge, MA.

Job Responsibilities:

- Write clean, well-designed code, employing OOP principles and standard design patterns.
- Use JIRA, Confluence, Subversion, Jenkins, and other tools to implement best practices in documentation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and iterative development life cycle.
- Join a project in mid-swing, be responsible for rapidly learning the code base and tools, specifically the Microsoft ASP.NET stack, and start contributing.
- Commit code to our existing systems and contribute technically to new projects in our dynamic global IT environment.
- Manage internal and external project team testing cycles of new tools and applications.
- Provide expert technical support for various applications and systems to internal team members and scientists.
- Interface with internal IT teams and with key business owners to conduct business process analysis and define project requirements, scope, and resource allocations.

Job Qualifications:

- B.S., M.S., or equivalent experience in computer science or bioinformatics
- Solid programming skills in at least one high level language (eg C#, Java)
- Proven record of building performant, effective, and user friendly tools
- Knowledge of web architecture and technologies, such as IIS, Apache, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS.
- Knowledge and experience of SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge and experience implementing and consuming web services (SOAP/REST)
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux Scripting and administration

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Familiarity with high-content imaging and distributed computing is a plus
