Build and develop relationships with channel reps to drive growth, identify, recruit, enable channels to sell and evaluate to enhance channel effectiveness.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, in this role you will:
Execute/Update Trade Area Analyses for IS Channels in assigned area. Include SWOT analysis and 3-5 year plan based on findings
Stratify and Segment existing channel partners by variables developed with RSL - volume, geography, profitability, etc
Collaborate with Channel Mgmt organizations to improve and develop Channel dashboard with GE-facing and customer-facing metrics
Define and implement a process for channel performance management that utilizes above scorecards and other pertinent data - execute with the assistance of existing SMs with channel responsibility
Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin; motivate distributors to stock and sell GE Industrial Solutions products
Implementing tiered SPA structure - into stock and secondary Standardization of marketing programs/fund strategy
Collecting and reporting channel feedback to business
- Data on execution, quality, competitor activities, best practices, new opportunities
Implementing priority customer service center support for strategic partners
- Single point of contact, electronic tools, specialized shipping programs, etc
Driving operational simplification for DP sales managers
- Standardized marketing programs, pricing
- Standardizing tasks for pure DP sales managers - Eliminating non-value add activities
Develop and execute training, joint sales calls, and marketing plans for the Region Channel - leverage existing DP SMs to execute plans
Generate cross-selling leads and make it easier to do business with Industrial Solutions
Create requirements for account planning to include NPI delivery, customer targeting, marketing, etc
Coach DP SMs and develop Communication Plan to ensure that DP Planning, Marketing, and Sales activities are consistent across all Channel Partners
Meet or exceed assigned volume and margin measurements
Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership
Understand market pricing trends and create strategies for into-stock and secondary pricing agreements that can be implemented by DP SMs
Create channel marketing programs (counter days, NPI launch, training) to promote GE products and services
Provide input and plans to Train and motivate distributor to do take off's, pricing and to close small project orders and blanket MRO contracts
Participate in local trade area review process to develop the district channel strategy Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 2 years of sales experience working with channels
Minimum of 3 additional years of industry experience
