Infrastructure Engineer

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our rapidly growing client in Huntersville, NC, near Charlotte, NC.

Job Responsibilities:
- Architect, Engineer, and Deploy plans and implement the overall strategic goals of an organization's MS Windows and Linux environments
- Administers and maintains the organization's messaging infrastructure(s).
- Monitors server performance and messaging routing.
- Administers and maintains the organization's SharePoint system(s).
- Administers and maintains the organization's EMC Disk Sub-system(s).
- Monitors security of the organization's messaging, SharePoint and AD infrastructure(s).
- Administers and maintains the organization's email archive, SharePoint archive and MS file system archive system(s).
- Installs new OS releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves OS related problems.
- Performs system backups and recovery for Windows OS and Linux OS.
- Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Monitors existing server usage, ensuring proper working order.
- Provide system administration for Windows and Linux environments including change control and configuration management, fault management, and performance management.
- Support the systems to ensure availability and performance.
- Administers, maintains policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company Microsoft SQL database and MySQL database.
- Resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.

Job Qualifications:
- Minimal bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred.
- Must have five (5+) years of experience in IT Infrastructure.
- Experience with Microsoft Server, Microsoft Windows.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2007.
- Experience with Microsoft Communications Server.
- Knowledge of VMware server virtualization.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
- Knowledge of Disk Storage Sub-System
- Experience with backup and recovery experience.
