Programmer Analyst (Java)

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Programmer Analyst to join our rapidly growing client in Huntersville, NC, near Charlotte, NC.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design code to meet functional requirements defined by the Business Analysts.
- Determine what coding changes must be made, if any, to resolve problems that keep the user from performing their assigned jobs.
- Create database designs and develop software to add new features to existing systems as provided by the Business Analyst. This software should be developed per our defined standards and architectures.
- Make modifications to existing software to handle new business processes.
- Analyze requests for changes to existing software to determine impact on related systems.

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience within the IT field of relevance.
- Programming languages including Java, PL/SQL and/or PHP.
- Ability to create SQL queries involving the joining of multiple tables.
- Knowledge of HTML and its use in formatting web pages.
- Knowledge of the construction/use of XML data sources.
- Expert knowledge of the use of a personal computer and/or laptop.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Functional knowledge of internal operating systems and Client Applications.
- Knowledge of current materials, methods, technology and practices of the Company.
