Currently we are seeking a Sr. Project Manager with Databases Skills and experience to join our team of professional's onsite in Charlotte! Selected individual must have a can do attitude, self-motivated, yet lead and participate as a team member with excellent communication skills! The ideal candidate will have evolved from a database administrator to a Project manager
The Senior Project Manager with Database Skills and experience will work on a project with 2 distinct phases:
- Initial build out of the upgrades roadmap, which will require a lot of planning and coordination across multiple teams (Applications, DBAs, QA and O/S Engineers) resulting in a schedule and scope statement
- Execution of the database upgrades planned for 2013 and 2014
The Sr Project Manager with Database Skills and experience
- Must have extensive experience project managing database version upgrades for both Oracle and SQL Server:
The Sr Project Manager with Database Skills and ability
- Vetting database inventory to determine what databases need an upgrade and all the requirements associated with the upgrade
- Coordinate and schedule all tasks for all impacted parties eg Operating System Engineers OSE), DBAs, Application/Development and QA teams
- Oracle 11g upgrade will be most challenging due to dependent tasks such as Solaris O/S upgrades
The Sr Project Manager with Database Skills must have strong communication skills The Sr. Project Manager with Database skills will be interacting and negotiating with multiple DBA and application teams
The Sr Project Manager with Database Skills must also have Strong planning skills both Oracle and SQL patching schedules are already built and approved but there are always changes and the PM will need to properly account for changes
The Sr Project Manager with Database Skills is highly desired to have Prior Banking specifically experience with production change management processes
