UNIX Administrator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Unix Administrator to join a fast growing financial client where the position can be based in Charlotte, NC.

Job Responsibilities
- Unix/Linux administration will be focused on Red Hat Linux and IBM AIX
- Have an understanding of UNIX-based operating systems; understand job control and be familiar with all standard UNIX system configuration files.
- Operational support for Unix-based Email services (SMTP, POP, IMAP)
- Operational support for Unix-based Data transport services (FTP,FTPS and sFTP)
- Skilled in the creation and management of UNIX accounts (local and LDAP)
- Familiar with Unix administration tasks on Servers running relational databases
- Manage networking concepts including routing, switching, Firewalls and IP Addressing
- Write simple Shell Scripts
- Work with enterprise-class ticketing systems while monitoring ticketing queues
- On a 24x7 on call rotation

Job Qualifications:
- Five (5) plus years of Information Technology experience in a UNIX environment.
- Bachelor's degree of equivalent experience.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Experience with the following;
- Postfix/SMTP
- Apache
- OpenLDAP
- Red Hat/AIX patching and upgrades
- Red Hat Clustering Software
- Supporting Servers with SAN-based storage
