Area Partner Territory Manager (aPTM)
Location: North Central Area - based in Chicago

The Area Partner Territory Manager (aPTM) is the strategic owner and key leader of their geography. They are responsible for driving SMB Open and Cloud revenue through programmatic business planning, developing, and managing of the Area's VAR and Cloud partners.

This person will ensure that partners are aware of enablement opportunities, sales promotions, driving demand helping Partners connect sales growth to marketing plans and activities, support partners selling efforts, and support pipeline health and velocity. The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills as well as success in a leveraged sales model, including business development, channel management, account management and business planning.

Primary responsibilities are the following
- Help Partners grow & renew their SMB Microsoft Open including Open Business, Open Value and Open Value Subscription revenue
- Help Partners bring awareness and transition our mid-market customers to cloud computing including Office 365, Intune, and CRM Online
- Programmatically create through partner demand and build Partners pipeline through Partner lead campaigns and events
- Coach partners on pipeline management, velocity, marketing and other sales activities
- Tight integration and selling activity in the local geographies in partnership with Distribution channel ( Ingram, Tech Data, Synnex and D&H)
- Coach and mentor telephone based TPAMs within distribution to sell more MS Open revenue. This is a critical asset to the PTMs success
- Support implementation of the Partner Capacity Area Plan as it relates to SMB Partners
- Foster development of Partner to Partner connection
- Drive satisfaction of Area Partner portfolio and Unmanaged Partner community
- Support local activities such as Partner Briefings as needed driving attendance and participation

Requirements:
7-10 years' experience of direct and indirect sales experience
BS/BA in Business, Marketing or computer-related is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft's overall strategy, products & channel model is critical, as is a keen understanding of consultative solution sales.
Business strategy is 50% of the position and execution 50%
Travel is required
