Grants Manager





Full Time:


40 hours per week

ROLE:

Work closely with the Development Director to provide a comprehensive and cohesive Development program for the Clinic and support the Executive Director as requested. Responsible for foundation grant management, and other projects that secure resources.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent and have a minimum of three years related work experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet project or fundraising goals. Experience managing multiple projects is essential. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to perform own administrative tasks. A Master's degree in non-profit management or other relevant disciplines and background in fund development along with fund development database system is preferred.




AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:



1) Grants Management:Responsible for researching, writing and submitting foundation grant proposals totaling $1.5M+. Works closely with staff to create appropriate grant requests, to ensure proper use of grant funds and prepare grant reports. Identifies new sources of foundation funding and stewards foundations as appropriate. Maintains foundation proposal and grant report calendar. In close coordination with the Development Director, Finance Director and Executive Director, determines fundraising goals for the grant program that will support the budget of the organization. Assists with government grant applications.



2)Database Management:Provides back-up support on the Development software program including maintenance and production of special events database records, reports and mailings. Works independently to achieve the goals of this position.



3)Other Duties: Work with Development Director to provide staff support to The Free Clinic Resource Development committee charged with supporting the overall fund development activities of the Free Clinic. Works independently to achieve the goals of this position. Promotes effective communication within and between departments through teamwork. Attends departmental and all-staff Free Clinic meetings. Contributes to departmental organizational decision-making through active participation. Works effectively and positively with co-workers and volunteers. Other duties, as assigned.
