Technical Test Analyst eGov Internet Channel
Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists within The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland to serve as a Technical Test Analyst in the eGovernment (eGov) department. The successful candidate will test the functionality and performance of software systems and ensures the software meets business requirements.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Reviews business requirement, functional requirements and technical specifications to develop test strategies, plans and scripts; creates test data based on requirements to conduct performance, load/stress, progression, regression, integration and scalability testing of complex application software.
- Executes test plans, records and reports results, assists with analysing test results, and provides root-cause analysis for problems encountered during testing and when necessary, for production issues. Diagnoses complex software problems, recommends solutions and determines when program requirements have not been met.
- Utilize testing tools to automate test scripts/scenarios, and validate test results.
- Develops test tools (eg test harnesses) used to simulate external systems/processes and system-to-system interfaces.
- Remains abreast of changes in software quality assurance best practices, recommends changes to ensure delivery of high quality code and implements process improvements for software testing.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
- Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of related work experience
- Knowledge of complex and diversified procedures, practices, and policies
- Knowledge of complex procedures and practices of a specific function
- Proficiency with complex business machines (computers, etc.)
- Knowledge of procedures and services of related areas (such as accounting or purchasing)
- Specialized, technical skills
- Thorough understanding of a scientific discipline (for example, economics, management, computer science)

- 3+ years development experience utilizing Java is required.
- Advanced Knowledge of QTP is required.
- Experience developing web applications which use or run on Java, JavaScript,Servlets, Applets, Spring, Struts, and WebSphere is desired.
- Experience testing web applications using tools such as LoadRunner, Quality Center, Excel, SQL, and Oracle is desired.
