Description

The Medical Assistant position exists to assist in the delivery of care in the ambulatory setting under the direct supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician.

Essential Functions:
Demonstrate and apply required skills sets and clinical knowledge in the ambulatory care setting
Collect, report, and document objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner
Room and discharge patients according to department standards
Respond to emergent/crisis situations upon delegation by the RN or Physician
Must demonstrate compassion and empathy with patients
Distributes health information to members as directed
Work flexible hours, various locations, and other duties as assigned
Must maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have current Certification as an MA through AAMA upon hire
Current BCLS from the American Heart Association required

Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of acute or outpatient care experience preferred but not required

May be required to rotate weekends, evenings, holidays. May be required to travel to other KP facilities within the Ohio Region
