POSITION SUMMARY
Visa Debit Processing Services (DPS) is a unit within Visa's Global Processing Division, and provides comprehensive processing support for the full suite of Visa deposit access products and support services including ATM terminal driving, prepaid processing, business analytics and gateway access to national ATM or POS networks. Visa DPS is distinguished by leading-edge technology and exceptional client service. Leading financial institutions throughout the United States have responded to Visa's commitment to processing excellence, establishing Visa DPS as the largest volume issuer processor of Visa transactions in the world.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst for Visa DPS will be a member of Visa's Global Processing Product team. This position reports to the Senior Business Leader of Visa DPS Planning\Strategy team. The position is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to Visa's DPS Product Processing organization. The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business questions. The Senior Business Analyst will interact frequently with DPS Product management, DPS Product teams, Finance areas and Global Systems development areas.
The position will be based in Denver, Colorado.
Specific responsibilities include:
-Participate in creation of the annual Revenue & Expense budget and the quarterly Revenue & Expense forecast.
-Responsible for coordinating DPS development spend funding process including forecasting, reviewing submissions, submitting for approvals and creating trending data for management.
-Participate in enhancing the DPS P&L including reviewing outputs and identifying areas to focus additional analysis to drive better business decisions.
-Produce month end analysis of results in a timely and accurate fashion.
-Create monthly management dashboards and month end analysis reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
-Identification of new items to be included in standard monthly reporting (including dashboards, Flash reports and other ad-hoc reports as needed).
-Cross train on DPS billing adjustment process function including reviewing, validating and submitting of manual billing adjustments. In addition, supplementing process with creation of metrics to provide better business insight.
-Proactively communicate business implications observed from analysis and contribute ideas and solutions to business challenges/problems
-Other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
-6-9 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
-Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses.
-Experience in budgeting and forecasting, month end close and process development.
-Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and skills in Access and PowerPoint.
-Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.
-Experience in highly Matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders.
-The ability to respond to ad hoc requests and to influence others is essential.
-Excellent organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
-Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels within the organization to accomplish Visa DPS business priorities.
