The Sr. Staff QA Engineer is an individual contributor and will be based in Denver, CO. The successful candidate will support all QA activities (project work, maintenance, Prod Support, etc) relating to our Marketing Programs. The successful candidate will also be required to support UAT coordination across Corporate IT Platform with our business users.

Job Scope:

The position would be responsible to manage teams through fast-paced Marketing initiatives, in order to retain quick time to market. With the agile-like project lifecycle, the candidate would need to have a deep understanding of QA process, and audit compliance of SDLC standards.

As a dual role, the resource's bandwidth would allow Global Quality Assurance's coordination of the UAT process within corporate IT. The successful candidate would be responsible for establishing a proper framework and formalizing processes for UAT entrance and execution. Leading resources within the GQA team to manage UAT data collection, UAT test planning, UAT defect/issue management, Execution Reporting and Test Findings.

Playing a vital role as liaison between the end user and the QA subject matter experts, this person would be strategically placed to work closely with the customer, balancing the end users expectations though the testing cycle while managing all aspects of their execution progress. This would ensure the end users focus on the completion of and adherence to the scope of testing.

Responsibilities
-Collaborate with developers and other QA leads to improve test coverage.
-Train onshore and the offshore team in writing test scripts and best practices. Contributing to team member cross training by effectively managing direct reports in integration projects.
-Identify test cases that benefit from Automation, and reduce dependency on manual testing. Determining maintenance schedule for Automation scripts to ensure sustained functionality.
-Execution and oversight of testing solutions, ensuring that they are on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.
-Review Conceptual Analysis and Functional Requirements for completeness and ensure document deliveries are met.
-Work with business and development to determine requirement coverage, create test cases to test iteration and develop requirement traceability. Including performance, security, environmental and legal constraints.
-Monitor development turnovers to confirm business requirements are successfully delivered.
-Provide proper Change Requests coverage of new solutions or enhancements.
-Manage all communications related to QA Status on a daily basis during execution. Reporting potential risks during all any stages of development lifecycle.
-Application level knowledge, assisting in execution of test cases and Automation Scripts when needed.
-Ensure software implementations are of the highest quality, accuracy and aligned with business requirements.
- Manage a dispersed global team of 5-10 testers to develop strategy and technical product solutions.
-Drive Vendor estimation discussions, ensuring scope coverage, creating quality criteria and deliverables, managing costs.
-Vigilantly monitor projects against forecast of time, effort, cost, and quality.
-Cost effective resource management with continued focus on productivity while leveraging the collective competence of a diverse workforce.
-Work with end user to develop processes and reporting tools for UAT testing.
-Retain Audit compliance while supporting end users during their testing cycle.
-Prioritizing against many competing interests, multi-tasking in an environment of constant change, and operating effectively in a matrix-management environment, and providing optics where decision making has material impact on costs and risk.
-Provide global support and ongoing enhancements to platform.
-Focus on the build and adoption of a consistent user experience and implementation strategy, creating a positive customer experience during UAT.

Qualifications
-BS in Computer Science [computer engineering or relevant field].
-5+ years QA experience required with demonstrated tactical skills, a deep understanding in QA process [Agile and Waterfall].
-5+ years of relevant IT leadership experience, preferably managing a globally dispersed team.
-Outstanding organizational and planning skills. Detail-oriented, self-managed and accustomed to project work with tight deadlines.
-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others developing strong internal and external relationships.
-Strong verbal/written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
-Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
-Proficient understanding of HP ALM [QualityCenter].
-Experience and deep understanding of Test Automation concepts. QTP experience preferred.
-Previous experience with estimation and Conceptual Analysis document discussions.
-Proven experience with UAT coordination and planning.
-Sound business judgment; strong requirements and business analysis skills; outstanding project and budget management, financial and analytical skills.
-Demonstrated track record of achieving tangible results while managing cross-functional teams in a highly Matrix environment; experience managing expectations and delivery of product/technology services to a highly diverse, global workforce.
-Comfortable working in an agile environment with a heavy work load of multiple simultaneous deliverables.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead cross functional teams and vendors.
-Ability to understand business needs and assist in translating into a test approach and plan.
-Experience with coordinating with an offshore multi-regional model.
