Civil Engineer/Section Manager (Job Number:303445)

Description:

SAIC is currently seeking a Civil Engineer/Section Manager to expand and lead our Infrastructure Division office in Columbus, OH. An immediate and primary responsibility will be to manage and direct multi-disciplined projects related to Shale Energy.

Other major responsibilities include business development related to Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, and other federal, state, county, and municipal government clients. Client relationship management and the completion of projects within scope, schedule and budget, as well as other related Section Manager duties within SAIC are required.
Working with division leadership on effective and safe project execution.
Serve as the administrative manager for SAIC's local Infrastructure staff.
Point of contact for all facility related issues.
Work with management team on targeted business development initiatives.
Work with other project managers with local client management support.
Development of environmental/engineering/safety practices and procedures.
Work with the management team on the analysis of financial performance data.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will possess the following:
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field
Ten (10) or more years of experience in any of the following areas is desired
- Site layout, stormwater management and E&S control
- Transportation design engineering, OHDOT
- Water & wastewater engineering
Experience working with oil and gas well development and gas pipelines is highly desired but not required
Previous experience managing several multi-disciplined projects with large clients is required
Thorough understanding of local, state and federal review and approval processes
A business mindset with the ability and desire to successfully manage client relationships and the profitability of each project to ensure repeat business
Understands what's important to the client and is motivated to deliver deliverables under expedited deadlines
Ability to be a proactive business developer by seeking new opportunities and acting on them with the goal to expand the size of the office and annual revenue
Willingness and ability to travel to job sites and client meetings as necessary.
Professional Engineer license
Proficiency or past experience in using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
