About the Opportunity
The Systems Analyst II is responsible for projects, supported by Systems Analyst I. The Systems Analyst II role is to ensure that projects are focused throughout the life cycle on achieving their objectives and delivering products that will achieve forecasted benefits. The Systems Analyst II ensures that the project balances the demands of the business, user and customer. Throughout the project, the Systems Analyst II may work with the Technical Business Advocates, and/or Business Solutions Manager to ensure the solution will meet the Business Case objectives. The Systems Analyst II will also teach and mentor the Systems Analyst I and assist in resolving critical business issues identified as Strategic Priorities or Priority 1 Incident reports. They will assist in Requirements, execute User Acceptance Testing, track issues, identify risks to the business and sign-off on projects.

Responsibilities
* Leads analysis pertaining to the development of new information, systems and processes to ensure they meet the business and user needs, in addition to ensuring existing systems are not negatively impacted
* Leads discussions to determine best possible solutions to system issues that meet the overall strategic imperatives for the business
* Continually evaluates systems and processes to determine non-value verses value added steps to increase system efficiencies; makes recommendations for system and process improvements
* Acts as a liaison between the Call Center and ADDI.
* Researches issues from the customer as it relates to processes and resolves production issues reported by customers or through filed Incident Reports opened through the Help Desk
* Participates in the definition of Call Center user requirements, processes and procedures pertaining to Alliance Data's core credit systems
* Mentors Analysts by creating Teaching and Learning partnerships and sharing their expertise

* Knowledge of Alliance Data's core credit processing systems.
* Knowledge of the culture, processes and procedures of Alliance Data's call centers.
* Knowledge of Alliance Data's regulatory requirements for New Accounts, Sales and Service and Collections.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
* Understanding of what DB2 and how information is organized in them.
* Aptitude for detail and accuracy.
* Ability to utilize QMF/SQL or Roscoe to query database to identify test accounts, research problems or complete testing.
