Basic Function:
Provides a maximum level of customer service to assigned accounts while working closely with Sales to ensure that sales and profitability objectives are met. Coordinates all aspects of order processing, applying specialized knowledge of technical details and product applications in the customer order process. Maintains ongoing relationships with key customers and interfaces regularly with Sales, Logistics, Credit, Distribution, Transportation, Manufacturing, and IT.
Responsible to coordinate all key activities within the supply chain in order to provide on time delivery to customers. The incumbent must also work closely with sales and manufacturing teams and various levels within customer's organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates contact with customers, assuring thorough and accurate order processing, suggesting alternative products and services and providing support in the resolution of customer complaints and issues.
Serves as liaison between Sales, Logistics, Transportation, and Manufacturing with regard to scheduling, capacity, service and systems issues, account priorities, and various customer issues that may be gathered through customer communications.
Provides clear instructions to internal departments, enabling them to prepare for and ship orders at customer service levels equal to or greater than those dictated by competitive forces in the marketplace.
Communicates with customers on activities in the above areas integral to on-time delivery of orders and complaint resolution. Provides customers with timely and accurate information with respect to our shipping capabilities and the status of orders from the time of receipt through shipment, delivery, and payment of invoice.
Manages international orders to ensure the necessary logistical arrangements are in place, appropriate payment terms are adhered to (including reviewing/approving letters of credit), and full compliance with export control requirements.
Ensure timely resolution of unauthorized deducts (UADs).
Manage the price increase process, including the notification of customers and the updating of the order entry and invoicing system as necessary to ensure accurate billing.
Assist sales and research personnel with non-standard sample requests and coordinate the shipments with carriers and plant personnel.
Provide all information necessary for commercial invoices and SLI's so that the documentation for international shipments is done in an efficient, timely, and correct manner.
Continually works to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team using Quality tools and processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related field required
Incumbents should have at least two years of relevant customer service experience.
Functional and Technical Skills.
This position requires strong interpersonal/communication skills, organization, problem solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and selling skills. It also requires a strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office products.
