Overview:

The Apple Solution Architect (SA) will be responsible for supporting pre-sales and post-sales solutions in the areas of Apple Mobility (iPhone and iPad), Apple End User Computing (MacBook, iMac, etc). As a secondary focus, this role will also be responsible for knowing how Apple products and solutions integrate with non-Apple technologies and infrastructures like Mobile Device Management (MDM), provisioning and configuration management (ie JAMF, etc), Desktop Virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory and network security.


This role is considered a specialty, overlay role within CompuCom Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) and therefore the SA will be expected to not only support the CompuCom Account Executives (AEs) within their local geography but support opportunities with AEs and other SAs as needed in other regions.



Responsibilities:

The SA will also be responsible for approximately 25% billable utilization on various Apple Solution focused projects. This could include:

  • Assessments
  • Proof of Concepts
  • Project oversight for developed solutions
  • Implementation tasks for developed solutions


Qualifications:

Must be knowledgeable of related services, hardware, software, and solutions. Develop and maintain relationships with sales accounts. Individuals should have a minimum of 2 years Consulting, System Engineer, or Sales Engineer experience. This position will be performing technical support for sales, solution development and delivery. This position may require travel greater than 25%. This position will require experience in one or more of the areas listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (2+ years relevant experience).
  • Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
  • Mobile Device Management technologies
  • Apple System Engineer experience a plus
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience selling these solutions and architectures is preferred
  • Ability to develop complete end-to-end architectures is preferred
  • Ability to implement these solutions and architectures is preferred

Other skillsets not mandatory for this position but strongly desired:

  • Understanding of how to integrate Apple technologies (Mac and iOS) into Active Directory and application such as Exchange and SharePoint
  • Understanding of how to integrate Apple iOS devices into wireless networks and security solutions such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Understanding of how Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools integrate and manage Apple iOS devices
  • Understanding of industry specific applications for the iOS platform

Understanding of how different virtualization technologies integrate with Apple Mac and iOS platforms
