About the Opportunity
The Business Systems Analyst role will focus on ensuring the software products developed by Epsilon Data Engineering group meet all defined quality control standards. The analyst will be responsible for validating production features and functionality against the defined requirement specification. The Analyst will play a critical role in making sure all products are efficient, defect free, and backwards compatable with previous Product releases. The role will be required to interface with developers, managers, and business owners in supporting the Quality Assurance group. The role will be required to have experienced technical skills which will allow them to transfer, update, and validate files in a Unix environment. The role must possess analytical skills to understand if testing issues were impacted during the development lifecycle. The role must posses the business skill accumen to document and present issues to the developer and management levels.

This role includes all aspects of BSA planning and execution, including but not limited to:

- create Test Plans

- create Test Cases

- create Test Scripts

- create Test Data

- execute Test Plans

- execute Test Cases

- document issues found in testing

The BSA will work closely with the development technical team to evaluate new requirements for future Product releases. The analyst will help define new testing capabilities and strategy in the QA environment. The analyst will be required to work within defined Product Release timelines to insure the Product is released on time and defect free

Qualifications
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- Experience creating or editing test environment Scripting tools

- Experience in use of Unix file system commands to edit, modify, and move files in a Unix environment

- Experience in Data Profile techniques

- Experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint)

- Experience in use of Text Editing Tools (Textpad, Toad, etc)

- Experience in writing test cases from business requirment documents

- Experience in writing product business requirement documents

- Experience in writing test evironment procedural documention

- Experience in Quality Assurance software/system testing best practices

- Experience in software product development procedures (Build, Release, etc)

- Experience working with Database Marketing organizations and concepts

- Experience working in structured software System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environments

- Experience managing projects

- Experience in leading meetings

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong time management skills

- Detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize tasks

- Able to work in a group or independently

PREFERRED EDUCATION/SPECIALIZED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor Degree

- 3 to 5 years of experience in this field

- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification

-SAP Data services

-Korn Shell Scripting
