Description:
Manage 6-8 sales representatives in the K-14 market. Assist management in devising direct sales plans and strategies. Resolve issues and contribute to the business unit/area development. Manage the work efforts of individual contributors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Develop sales within assigned territory.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and programs to fulfil organizational goals for sales team.
- Provide formal and informal sales and product training.
- Hire, train, set expectations for Sales Associates in VWR Education.
- Continually evaluate associate progress and performance.
- Analyze regional sales data to determine opportunities and gap closure methods.
- Develop forecasts and pipeline planning for sales team.
- Develop strategies and guidelines within which sales reps conduct business.
- Develop and maintain sound customer and supplier relations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills:
- Knowledge of science education market
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Account development and implementation skills
- Proven leadership experience
- Experience in establishing high level customer relationships
- Experience in Microsoft Office products
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong customer focus (internal and external)
- Good presentation skills
- Good coaching, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Conflict resolution skills
- Strong data analysis skills necessary to understand sales reports/documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters in Education
- Five plus years and at least two years of management experience
- Previous Education Experience preferred
