We are looking for a talented Lead Database Developer for our Trading Applications Division based out of our Atlanta Headquarters to work with various business lines. You will be joining a very dynamic/agile team and your development contributions will have a major impact on several end products.
If you are a Database Developer with PL/SQL Triggers, Packages and Procedures experience as well as a strong command of Oracle 10g, please read on!
What you need for this position:
- 90% PL/SQL development work and 10% Database Administration work
- Experience developing database applications in PL/SQL-Triggers, Packages, Functions, Procedures, Complex SQL
- Oracle Collection, Object Types knowledge and experience
- Must have work experience working in Unix/Linux environment. RAC experience is a plus.
- Some Shell or Perl experience.
- Advanced Queue knowledge
- SQL Query tuning using different tools. Clear understanding of query plan.
- 10g experience a must, 11g a plus
- Excellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Good written and verbal communication skill.
- Understand SDLC process and tools, agile program management concepts and version control.
- Willing to take oncall rotation and occasional weekend work.
What you'll be doing:
- Serve as a member of the Database team where you will be involved in the analysis, design, implementation, and support for Trading applications and systems
- The majority of your time will be spent doing PL/SQL development work
- You will have minor Database Administration work
- Work on continuous software development for various business lines
- Interact with end-users and management to make key decisions with regards to major functionality
- As a Senior member, you will make key decisions and judgments on your own
