Title: Senior Business Analyst - Project Management Office

Description
The Senior Business Analyst will plan for and execute on business analyst activities for one or more projects of medium size/complexity and will work with project and business management to ensure technical and/or business objectives are achieved.
Typical projects may include the entire life cycle from requirements through to business transition or specific parts of the life cycle of a larger project. Typical project complexity/size will 6-12 months duration and involve up to 10 FTEs across one or more locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, Model, Document & Confirm Business Requirements - Identification of a complete, clear, correct, and consistent list of business requirements.
- Manage Solution Scope & Requirements - Manage scope consensus, requirement traceability, maintain requirements for re-use, finalize, and communicate.
- Analyze Business Requirements - Model requirements, prioritize, and prepare the To-Be State or Receiving Site's needs. Define the metrics to measure the ROI.
- Assess Proposed Solution - Does the proposed solution(s) meet the stakeholder and solution requirements, and what are the organization's readiness needs?
- Evaluate Solution Performance - Monitor the solution and asses metrics to realize return on investment.
- Update Current State Model - Maintain the Process Definition and update with the new solution and metrics.
- Plan Business Analysis Activities - Determine which activities are required, what deliverables will be produced, estimate the effort to perform that work, and identify which techniques will be employed.
- Conduct Stakeholder Analysis - Identification of stakeholders who may be affected by a proposed initiative or who share a common business need.
- Define the Business Need - The business need defines the problem that the business analyst is trying to find a solution for.
- Assess Capability Gaps - To identify new capabilities required by the enterprise to meet the business need.

Qualifications
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- 4-year college degree, preferably in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- In pursuit of CBAP designation or equivalent certification related to business analysis.
- 6+ years experience of structured requirements management utilizing industry standard techniques (process modelling, data modelling, use cases, JAD, Case Tools, etc.).
- Experience must demonstrate executing on projects (with teams based in multiple locations) to successfully deliver within specified timescales and budget.
- Business Knowledge - Understand basic fundamental business principles and best practices, in order to ensure they are incorporated into and supported by solutions.
- Solution Knowledge - Awareness of existing solutions, and experience implementing a change.
- Methodologies - Strong background with various solution development methodologies which may include lean, waterfall, and agile development.
- Software Tools - Advanced skills using the following software applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio.
- Analysis Tools - Advanced employment of the BA Analysis Tools to estimate & accomplish the analysis activities, including: Facilitation, Elicitation, Benchmarking, Business Rules Analysis, Data Flow Diagrams, Metrics & KPIs, Prototyping, Risk Analysis, SIPOC Diagrams, State Diagrams, SWOT Analysis, User Stories & Use Cases
