The Engineering Assistant will provide a wide range of secretarial and administrative support to several Engineering Directors and Managers. This individual will be responsible for answering phones, preparing memorandums, confidential correspondences, expense reporting and ordering office supplies. Maintain calendars and schedule and coordinate meetings, make appointments and travel arrangements. Coordinate, prepare and edits reports and presentations. Organize files, perform data entry, and maintains accurate records. Process invoices and maintain financial and expense records. Collect and prepare information for management use. Provide required support for managers. Greet vendors and visitors.

The Engineering Assistant will work together within the Engineering community. Provide support to the Engineering teams (Six Sigma, Robust Process and CMMS). Provides support to other departments such as MESciTech and Manufacturing Engineering, as needed. Gather and collate data. Manage Engineering databases and systems.

Qualifications

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's degree preferred. A minimum of 2 years of administrative/secretarial experience is required. Experience supporting an Engineering group is preferred. Experience working with suppliers preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Experience with Microsoft Access is preferred. Database management experience is required. Experience with productivity tools and portal technology (eg Live Meeting, SharePoint, CTO, Ariba, gXRs, SAP) preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong organizational skills. The ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
