This is an US IC 4 role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The Microsoft Store (www.microsoftstore.com ) has become one of the largest retailers of Microsoft products on a worldwide basis and is poised for significant growth in FY12. Furthermore, the expansion of our physical retail store presence continues to help us showcase Microsoft technology and illuminate our innovation story, by transforming the buying and service experience for our customers.
To fuel this continued growth, we are expanding our team to inject digital marketing talent to support our worldwide online sales channel and our physical Microsoft Stores.
What you will impact:
Your role, as the Online Store Manager is to plan and drive locally relevant E-commerce marketing in support of Microsoft Store online you your market(s). Within the role you are responsible for driving the business against targets, creating strong partnerships with subsidiary and regional stakeholders, publishing and reporting business results and critical feedback to inform Microsoft Store strategy and tactics.
Lead Online Sales and Marketing Plans for MicrosoftStore.com
o Define the sales and marketing plans for all products sold online
o Review and manage business against unit, revenue and contribution margin targets
o Align online sales with other Microsoft Store channels (eg retail, call center)
o Align with physical MS Store counterparts to ensure the Microsoft Store campaigns, offers, product roadmap, etc. is consistent across online and offline experiences
o Partner with local business group and segment stakeholders to drive marketing plans
o Coordinate marketing plans in accordance with centralized Microsoft Store category management, demand generation, e-mail and social marketing teams
BG Partnerships and Local Business Development
o Represent the online store to local BG and segment stakeholders
o Facilitate inbound requirements gathering and marketing plan inputs from the BG
o Develop outbound forecasting and reporting to enhance direct sales contribution to BG sales mix
o Identify new business opportunities and potential pilot programs within marketPartner
Local Customer & e-Commerce Insights
o Provide deep insight on local market business performance opportunities and constraints
o Deliver market insights to Microsoft Store stakeholders to help inform and drive global strategy
o Develop customer insights and provide E-commerce and product based learnings to improve direct sales and inform BG product management teams
o Communicate insights to key stakeholders, including demand gen team, merchandising team, physical store team as well as BG counterparts
As the local leader for the Microsoft Store online business, you will be measured by how well you drive revenue across the product offerings, as well as show clear alignment with in-market stakeholders and retail marketing strategies.
What you bring to the role:
Proven thought leadership and results leading marketing and/or sales for consumer and small business products and services over the past 5+ years
A deep understanding of digital & E-commerce marketing in your market, both current and emerging, with the ability to translate marketing needs into program execution
Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders in market to secure support for Microsoft Store initiatives, promotions and marketing plans
An ability to manage relationships with subsidiary peers to leverage campaign activities as appropriate from other subs, as well as drive global integration and adoption of marketing guidance
Excellent communication skills tailored for audience and context
An entrepreneurial spirit that is passionate about building businesses within a fast paced environment, while changing the way customers perceive our brand and our products
