Training Specialist

Position Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for working with the business leadership of the service line supported to identify appropriate training opportunities, and develop those training opportunities and implement the training.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Create, develop, and organize training procedure manuals, guides, course materials and course curriculum
• Produce training materials for in-house courses as appropriate. Amend and revise materials as necessary
• Facilitate all new training in regard to procedures and processes
• Act as a support fielding questions and issues from staff related to the business and/or systems
• Monitor progress of trainees and report any issues to management. Make recommendations on fit for position and potential position changes if necessary
• Create and maintain training materials and instructional plans
• Produce and distribute regular training reports including progress of each trainee on productivity, quality and test scores

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or related disciplines required
• 2+ years prior training, facilitation or instructional design experience required
• Proven experience and ability to train and develop employees utilizing traditional training concepts and adult learning principles (eg ADDIE model, Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation)
• Experience designing and delivering E-learning and online meetings preferred
• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication to include presentation, facilitation, coaching and feedback skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications required
• Demonstrates continuous follow-up capability
• Experience with web-based learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Articulate or Captivate preferred
