Responsibilities - Working directly for the Project Managers, Field Coordinators, or Program Manager, coordinates the lockout/tagout activity associated with major building projects.
- Reviews list of equipment requiring lockout/tagout with contractors doing the removal.
- Determines list of energy sources affected by each piece of equipment.
- Acts as liaison between the Construction Team and the company's Operations and Maintenance staff.
- Coordinates utility shutdown communication and execution with Operations and Maintenance staff.
- Determines impact of lockout/tagout to surrounding equipment and coordinates shutdowns with Global Operations and all affected scientific groups.
- Ensures any disconnected utilities are left in a safe condition.
Acts as an active participant in any project-related shutdown planning.
SKILLS
Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience at a research site or large pharma company, in particular at a research site working in a maintenance or utilities position. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems typical to a research site is essential. Proven interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required. Must have working knowledge of OSHA and site safety requirements.
