Job Description

Responsibilities

Elicit and identify business requirements specifications, business processes and recommendations for complex business objectives with respect to products, processes, distribution, compliance and reporting

Ensure requirements are traceable to test cases and delivered system functions. Manage system requirements through all phases of development and maintenance on multiple projects and applications.
Implement industry best-practices in requirements management and contribute to on time/on budget solution delivery.

Understand the required integration capabilities; be familiar with the ETL and Reporting tools. Provide guidance to the team, facilitate client workshops, and drive the decision making process, oversee the technical designs and support the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of the project. Responsible for the configuration/rationale and oversee the transition of the Reporting artifacts from development/test into production support mode.

Qualifications

Understanding and working knowledge of the Insurance/Reinsurance architecture, statutory and regulatory reporting, sub ledger and GL. Experience with accounting process system functionality, accounting principles and policies and functional requirements documentation. Working knowledge of Analytical Reporting tools; preferably Microsoft Analysis Services and Cognos

Data flow/modelling skills; Solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience creating and managing Use Cases. Test planning and test case definition and execution. Experience in creating UAT plans and test scripts.

Knowledge of Insurance/Re-insurance Reporting processes, Finance Data Marts/Sub ledgers. Financial Services and/or Insurance industry experience preferred. Must have P&C and/or Reinsurance insurance product accounting experience

Strong documentation skills with specialization in documenting business requirements and system processes. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record in working with all levels of an organization's technical and business departments.

Experience conducting and leading JAD sessions. Must be customer focused - meaning must be able to understand the importance stakeholders business objectives and drive the process towards achieving those objectives.

Must be flexible, enthusiastic; and has very strong organizational, task management and prioritization skills; Demonstrated ability to complete deliverables on time and within budget. Liaison between Business and Technical teams. Able to work with cross functional teams to devise and drive out business approaches.

Ability to work with cross functional teams both onshore/offshore to devise and drive out business approaches

Education

Bachelor's Degree is required.

Certifications

Certifcation in Business Analysis or Process Engineering is a plus.

The successful candidate for this position is likely to have a minimum of years of experience.
