Global SOF Network Analyst (Job Number:318969)

Description:

Serves as a Global Special Operations Forces (SOF) Network Analyst for a Theater Special Operations Command in the Asia Pacific. Candidate is a key advisor, coordinator and analyst to the TSOC Commander and staff on the establishment, operation and sustainment of a Regional SOF Network in the PACOM Area of Responsibility. Responsible for developing Strategic Concepts, Plans, Operations Orders, Fragmentary Orders, Integrated Master Schedules and other deliverables as required. Provides Flag Officer/General Officer level information papers; position papers; briefings; and talking points with regard to the GSN. Integrates key planning and operational documents with the USPACOM, USSOCOM and Service Component Staff equivalents. Works with Interagency and DoD working groups, conferences, and Joint Planning Groups. Ability and willingness to travel to various CONUS and OCONUS (Non- hazardous) locations to gather data for the performance of the above tasks.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Master's degree in International Relations/National Security Affairs (or related field) in addition to 3 years of relevant experience. Requires Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI. Graduate of the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or service equivalent. (Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

Required Skills and Experience:

Retired LTC/COL with 20 years experience or OGA equivalent. Experienced in Program Management. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in different phases while working independently or as a leader of a group. Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Service and experience in USSOCOM, a Theater Special Operations Command, and/or the USPACOM Area of Responsibility is preferred. Graduate of a U.S. Special Operations Qualification Course or Foreign Area Officer is preferred.
