Role Overview

Provide functional support for proprietary Bechtel cost and progress management systems.

Responsibilities include the following:

- Assist with Project Start-Up activities related to coordination and configuration of automation tools.
- Provide user support for automation tools.
- Provide systems support for automation tools.
- Conduct regular audits of Projects' system configurations and work processes related to automation tools.
- Facilitate the authoring of standard procedures, work processes and desktop instructions related to the utilization of automation tools.
- Facilitate the authoring of user guides, training materials, and lessons learned documents related to automation tools.
- Conduct training and mentoring of automation tools for project personnel as required.
- Author business requirements for new features, enhancements, and reports for automation tools.
- Provide coordination and integration support between the Project Controls systems and Accounting, Procurement, Subcontracts, Engineering, Timekeeping, Construction, and Document Controls systems.
- Coordinate global deployment of new software releases.
- Participate in regular roundtable discussions with projects to discuss/capture issues/concerns, and provide GBU level status updates on Project Controls systems.
- Develop custom SSRS reports as requested by Projects.
- Research on new automation tools to simplify Project Control Process.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor Degree required
- Advanced knowledge of ePCWorks, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic, SQL, SSRS, and .NET.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to provide systems user support.
- Minimum 5 years of Bechtel experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions including EPPR and cost control in the field and the home office.
- General knowledge of accounting, engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction systems and work processes as performed by Bechtel.

Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
