Role Overview

Engineering Management of Bechtel FLNG Projects, FEED's and Studies. Ensure that engineering activities are executed within budget and schedule, whilst maintaining technical integrity.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

- Engineering Management and supervision of EPC Project and FEED teams
- Supervise and contribute to the preparation of Engineering Execution documentation, Basis of Design, Schedule and estimates
- Coordinate with Project Director/Manager on a regular basis the progress, priorities, areas of concern and support requirements
- Liaise with other parts of Bechtel Group and identify requirements for engineering support.
- Coordinate engineering support to Procurement and Project Controls functions.
- Ensure that engineering standards are maintained for performance of work and deliverables
- Coordinate input from and to other Project functions (estimating, planning, cost control, etc.)
- Coordinate specialist contractor scope of work and inputs to engineering scope
- Ensure timely coordination with fabrication, commissioning and operations disciplines

Basic Qualifications

Technical Competencies

- Good knowledge of LNG facilities engineering including liquefaction, refrigeration, exchangers, containment systems and other related mechanical equipment.
- Detailed knowledge of FPSO systems and marinization needs for FLNG applications, F&G, ESD, emergency escape & evacuation requirements.
- Working knowledge of structural, electrical, instrumentation marine engineering and naval architecture disciplines and their interfaces with Process/topsides design.
- Good knowledge of FLNG/FPSO applicable regulations and codes
- Team player, ability to form an experienced multi-disciplinary engineering team and create a positive working environment
- Ability to manage and form productive working relationship with Client management & representatives
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Cost and schedule awareness, good change management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of engineering software, eg process simulation, structural analysis

Education/Experience

- Engineering degree from accredited university
- 15 years' experience in progressive multi-discipline engineering roles
- At least 2 years' experience as Engineering Manager with specific focus on FLNG engineering
- USA resident or valid work permit
