The Regional Account Manager - HSR Compressors will promote the sales growth of the High Speed Reciprocating Compressor product line to regional customers and packagers. Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:


  • Develop new strategic account relationships to accelerate sales growth
  • Evaluate customer's organization to understand capital procurement process and influence key decision makers
  • Identify, track, and close sales opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with all levels of key customer's organization including travel to customer locations to network and understand operations
  • Work closely with Account Executives and/or other GE businesses and sales teams to coordinate customer activity, leverage GE's market presence, and cross-sell GE products and services
  • Act as the primary liaison between customer organizations and the Business
  • Develop packager relationships to capture the VOC (Voice of the Customer) and translate this back to the Business Leaders
  • Work closely with Applications Engineering, Commercial Team (Inquiry to Order- ITO), the Field Support Team to ensure customer needs are supported
  • Actively participate in commercial processes to track opportunities and report business metrics
  • Contribute to defining and implementing marketing and commercial strategies to increase orders volume and profitability
  • Be involved in transactional work activities including commercial support, application engineering, marketing, proposal coordination and closing
  • Represent the Business at trade shows and market activities Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Business with a minimum of 3 years of technical sales experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Gas Compression industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales or Commercial Operations Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • Strong understanding of the current Oil & Gas industry especially pertaining to machinery sales

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar opportunity management systems
  • Ability to work in a Matrix organization
  • Demonstrated credibility to be effective in facilitating cross-business/cross-functional teams
