Job Duties

. Devises/modifies procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results for a specific data process. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.

. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, designed, coded, tested and debugged.

. Consult with users and develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation.

. May lead small projects or regularly review other team members work to ensure data processes and systems are developed in a way that complies with data architecture, standards and internally established methodologies and practices applicable to Data Operations.

. Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

. Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts. Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.

. Established policies and procedures to anticipate, identify, and correct problems.

. Troubleshoots a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions with leeway to make independent decisions based on functional expertise specific to assigned project.

. Regularly provides input to define and implement conceptual ideas.

. Uses expertise of other team members and leverages a wide range of additional resources to explore/implement complex customized applications as a solution.

. High degree of independence to recommend and implement project direction. Sets objectives for project goals and monitors project to achieve those goals.

. Influences department processes, procedures and policies.

. Negotiates, persuades and gains consensus from cross functional team.

Posting Job Requirements Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

. Normally requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience.

. Formal training and/or certifications in programming languages a plus.

. Typically have 4-8 years of directly related experience.

. Experience with data used in CoreLogic products and processes (public record, tax, census, appraisal, etc) a plus.

. Fluent in multiple program languages at an expert level.

. Strong experience with various computer platforms and application environments.

. Expertise with developing multiple tiers of multi-tiered software applications.

. Expertise designing programs and data systems.

. Constantly updating personal technical and business knowledge and skills and mentoring others to increase the knowledge and skills of the team.

. Project management skills.

. Some experience with ETL methodologies.

. Strong understanding of data structures and design.

. Experience with data flow, data enrichment, transformations.

. Ability to optimize database queries and performance.

. Experience in developing data service processes and system infrastructure to be used Enterprise Wide.

. Strong communication skills in order to participate in business meetings and provide clear written documentation on a variety of complex technical issues to a wide audience.

. Ability to recognize good data quality and understand its importance to the company

. Ability to contribute creative, alternative, and innovative solutions t facilitate brainstorming and atypical development techniques.

. Willing to think out-of-the-box to push the limits of traditional thinking.

. Capable of an positive about learning new cutting-edge software to accomplish goals.

. Experience analyzing data and its relationships with and flows to other data in the organization.

. Visual Basic .NET (VB.Net), or C#, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server or Oracle and must.

. COBOL and OpenVMS and plus.

. Experience with Data Engineering and/or Data Governance a plus.

. Data Operations experience a plus
