Business Analyst

~Credit Operations ~ Business Processes ~ Reporting & Analysis

JOB TITLE: Financial/Business Analyst DEPT: Payments

REPORTS TO: Manager, Payments

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Systems (approx. 40%)

. Assesses business requirements and functionality of credit related system changes within POS (Point of Sale) and implement operating policies to meet management requirements

. Assists with the development of system acceptance test plans, objectives and case/scripts

. Participates in system acceptance testing activities

. Assesses organizational and operational changes necessary to effectively implement the new systems and processes

Store Support - Communication, Training, Problem Resolution (approx. 35%)

. Provides assistance in the development of written procedures to ensure optimal payments utilization and administration

. Provides assistance with user training and documentation activities

. Provides problem resolution and enhancement support for credit products and processes

. Answer vendor, store, and employee questions regarding credit policies and processes

Reporting and Analysis (approx. 25%)

. Prepare weekly status reports using Excel, Word, etc.

. Prepare statistical reports for management review, including both volume and exception driven reports

. Analyze forecast, and prepare financial analysis for department management, providing monthly financial reports and ad hoc analysis as required

. Manage the process of consolidating financial data while maintaining the integrity of the data, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures

. Determine and resolve inaccuracies or variances within expense lines, researching answers and responding to questions and issues.

. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or the equivalent

. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience desired with demonstrated experience and proficiency in the following:

. Identifying user needs and systems enhancements (POS/credit systems experience preferred) as well as proposing solutions to operational issues and process flow problems.

. Documenting business requirements, and coordinating testing and implementation of new system features.

. Developing training materials and communicating new features to company- wide audiences.

. Determining ROI on programs (eg credit card programs) and system enhancements

. Performing applications/system User Acceptance Testing including sign-off recommendations to leadership.

. Experienced in financial analysis and reporting to include forecasting and budgeting

. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills

. Superior consultative, interpersonal, communications and presentation skills with ability to establish positive working relationships across the organization

. Private label credit experience with business processes preferred.
