Business Manager - Dealer Sales - West Coast-130551
Description
This position will report to the Director, Field Partneships and can be based in Atlanta Corporate Offices.
The Business Manager is responsible for the financial and business partnership support to the Dealer Sales department. They directly support the Divisional Vice President and Regional Sales Directors by assisting them in achieving their financial and operation goals.
Key activities of the Business Manager include sales forecasting, P&L oversight, daily and monthly reporting and analysis to identify trends, manage budget, oversee spending and monitor revenue contribution and performance for Sales employees. They will identify, define and communicate short and long range plans, key business and strategic priorities based on collaboration with Senior Leadership, local management, regular analysis and competitive data. The Business Manager provides expertise, education and execution in the areas of market insight, financial planning, analysis and overall sales strategy
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of the Dealer Sales business unit annual operating and capital budgets, monthly department and project forecasts, month end close and long-range plans to include:
o Revenue (monthly changes in billing)
o Expenses
o Headcount
o Month end expense accruals
o Monthly commissions and adjustments
- Provide ongoing financial reporting, analysis, modeling, resource capacity planning, and ad hoc financial analysis expertise to business partners and executive leadership to make informed strategic business decisions.
- Assist in the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of strategic objectives and business plans for business partners and executive leadership.
- Adhere to and manage the accounting and financial policies and procedures ensuring maximum efficiency, productivity, and cost controls that meet the needs of the business today and in the future.
- Prepare and deliver a standard monthly management reporting package for business partners to include dashboards, employee standings and scorecards.
- Serve as the market expert and chief financial strategist for the field in support of the RSD and DVP.
- Maintain and utilize industry, competitive and general economic knowledge to make strategic decisions.
- Serve as a business partner to the field and the DVPs to identify opportunities, deliver customer analysis, provide training and to conduct monthly operational reviews.
- Partner with Business Manager(s) on escalated issues, concerns and areas of development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field required. Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics and relevant certifications preferred.
- 5+ years of financial planning, management and analysis experience required.
- 5+ years experience working within a like analytical financial environment to include financial strategy, management consulting, business performance management and/or corporate strategy.
- Demonstrated analytical (industry, market, and business) and quantitative skills.
- Ability to develop structured and fact-based strategy reports (eg narrative business plans and presentations) that include actionable conclusions and recommendations.
- Solid knowledge of financial modeling, statistical methods and benchmarking techniques with the ability to synthesize complex information, anticipate and effectively solve multifaceted problems.
- Proven leadership and teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and have a track record of delivered results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong trusted working relationships with internal and external business customers at all levels to include executive level management.
- Proven ability to work effectively within complex decision making and organizational structures.
