Microsoft Dynamics AX QA Tester/Corporate System Engineer!

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with project lead to create and document testing framework including manual and automated testing
• Understands system requirements and design features to be able to write test cases
• Manages the development and maintenance of test plans, scenarios, cases, test scripts and records and manages automated tests using a test automation tool independently
• Coordinates testing execution with development lead and project lead to integrate with continuous code deliveries
• Analyzes defect patterns and manages the bug resolution life cycle and facilitates debugging and diagnosis of issues with development team
• Contributes in clarifying how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements
• Collaborates with configuration manager to configure environments and tools for testing
• Provides daily quality status across all product work streams

Required Capabilities

• BS/BA in computer science, or related discipline
• Good communication skills with excellent prioritization and scheduling skills
• Demonstrable passion for agile & high quality cross-functional software engineering practices
• Attention to detail and the ability to master new applications and technologies quickly
• Strong familiarity with the MSFT solution platforms and demonstrable passion for continuous applied learning & development
• Good troubleshooting and debugging skills, strong creative thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity without stalling progress
• Ability to understand business and functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios/cases
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of automation frameworks and techniques and have innovative insights into automating tests end-to-end based on business processes
• Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges.
• Ability to collaborate and work on complex problems in tight timelines
• Experience using version control and defect tracking methods, and tools

Desired Capabilities

• Strong understanding of accounting practices and data
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft etc.)
• Experience with Dynamics AX, .NET and SQL Server would be preferable
• Expertise and knowledge in Agile engineering practices (Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Service Integration)
• Proficient with Microsoft TFS and Microsoft Test Manager or equivalent ALM tools for testing
