Pearson International has an excellent opportunity available for an ESL Publishing Sales Representative.
ESL Sales Representatives are responsible for professionally promoting Pearson Education ELT products to educational professionals with the goal of achieving sales growth in their respective territories. The primary focus of this position is to drive business results for the Los Angeles, California territory through a blend of business acumen and professional performance skills.
Successful candidates for the position should demonstrate technological proficiency in regards to being able to present and demonstrate software programs. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain objectives for geography in consultation with regional management to assure proper portfolio balance and planned actions.
- Meet/exceed sales goal expressed as % growth, and/or sales target
- Maintain an expert product knowledge base including education, consumer education, and factors influencing the market environment. Understands and uses approved promotional materials to support marketing message.
- Employ effective selling techniques following the ELT Sales Model, including pre-call planning, effective opening, presentation focus and productive questions, issue identification and effective close.
- Successfully implements the territory sales plan in alliance with Marketing & Sakes resources to meet or exceed goal.
- Maintain up-to-date database to document sales call information, trends, future call objectives, sampling data and overall territory performance.
- Demonstrate teamwork through sharing of best practices and working with cross functional teams.
- Adjust/adopt/incorporate national requirements, initiatives and plans.
- Complete and transmit weekly activity and expense reports.
- Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in all required sales conferences and training at local and/or remote locations.
Qualifications
- Travel up to 25%; overnight travel required
- Lifting up to 40lbs.
- Valid driver's license & good driving record
- Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
- Bi-lingual in Spanish highly desirable
