Process Control Engineer

COMPANY INFORMATION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide hardware and software expertise to fully utilize and enhance the facility DCS systems
  o Serve in leadership role in facility DCS replacement projects
  o Integrate programming for new engineering projects
  o Identify and implement process control strategies to drive improvements
  o Provide expertise for process and reliability improvements
  o Support process safety enhancements with improved alarm management and strong well-documented interlock systems
  o Stay current on developments relating to the DCS systems
  o Develop a long-term vision for the DCS systems infrastructures to ensure reliable operations
  o Provide day to day troubleshooting support to operations
• Train area engineers and operators to best utilize the systems

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Physical Requirements

• BSChe or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
• Working knowledge of hardware and software aspects of distributive control systems
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn Company and plant specific business software systems
• Good interpersonal skills with ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to make independent decisions when necessary
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly verbally and in writing
• Experience in project management

Considered a Plus

• Experience with ABB DCS systems
• Experience with Emerson Delta V systems

Compensation

Salary Range: $59,900 - $76,700
Bonus Eligible
